  • Overview



    We are looknig for a Clinical Assistant/ Medication Aide to assist our  Psychiatrist with clinical documentation of professional services to geriatric patients in skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living and other LTC settings.  This position requires travel to Galveston, League City and Texas City.



    1.  Consistency in providing quality services
    • Obtain relevant clinical data from facility staff, records, clinicians, and collateral sources of information in advance of patient visits by psychiatrist
    • Round with psychiatrist during patient evaluations
    • Record findings, assessments, plans and other information as orally presented by psychiatrist during and subsequent to patient visit.
    • Follow other/additional instructions from psychiatrist as needed 
    1. Quality Documentation
    • Meet quality documentation standards
    • Quickly and accurately record information from sources listed above.
    • Assist in the filing of medical records at the client site.
    • Attend company meetings and other appointments as necessary.
    1. Teamwork
    • Integrate successfully into facilities home team; build collaborative relationships
    • Check in with key facility staff upon entering and existing the building
    • Actively communicates and is responsive facility staff
    • Assist on-boarding clinicians integrated into facility and company
    1. Compliance 
    • Understand and comply with HIPAA standards
    1. Critical Connections
    • Successfully manage key relationships including:
      • Manage relationships with Facility staffs including SSD, DON, MDs, Administrators, Rehab support team, and other providers
      • Regional Managers, Account Executives, Clinical Advisors and other company staff.
      • Meet scheduled commitments with facilities, patients and company


    The ideal candidate will:

    • Possess background in health care environments, with an emphasis on geriatric, psychiatric and long-term care settings
    • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, with an emphasis on psychiatry.
    • Exhibit a high level of skill in both written and verbal communications.
    • Be familiar and comfortable with charts, medical records and forms
    • Show evidence of proficiency with computers and data entry, with an emphasis on electronic medical records (EMR)
